Girls With Knives: A Feminist Dissection of Women in Horror Movies

I recently had the privilege of sharing my passion for social justice and the art of horror films through a TED Talk-style performance titled It's My Turn to Talk at Loyola University Chicago. I'd love to delve even deeper by writing an essay series picking apart specific films, franchises, and directors but I'm so proud of the work I did and am thankful for this opportunity to explore feminism within the horror genre. You can watch my talk, "Girls With Knives: A Feminist Dissection of Women in Horror Movies" below (Special thanks to my friend Carlin Decker, who recorded this for me.)
